Sometimes you just want something sweet. Other times, you don’t have time to prepare a meal. Or, maybe you need something to perk you up before/after a workout. There’s always an excuse to drink a smoothie!
Most of the time, I just throw whatever I have on hand in the Vitamix and give it a whirl. The results are usually great – except when I put in too much spinach.
This morning, I had some pre-cut pineapple that was super ripe, so I decided to throw together this smoothie packed with nutrients and protein.
Food Facts:
Oranges are great source of vitamin C, and fiber….as well as B vitamins, pantothenic acid, folate, vitamin A, calcium
Pineapple is full of manganese (76% DV in 1 cup), and vitamin C
Bananas are also a great source of vitamin C, potassium, and fiber
- 1 ½ cup Pineapple
- 2 Mandarin Oranges
- 1 large banana
- ½ cup 2% cottage cheese
- Peel banana and mandarin oranges, then place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
