There’s something about a refreshing glass of lemonade on a sweltering hot summer day to quench your thirst and cool you down. I’ve been a huge fan of Chick-fil-A’s Diet Lemonade for years…no ice, all lemonade (so I get more!).  So, I was super bummed when I found out a small diet Chick-Fil-A Frosted Lemonade is over 300 calories. So…I made my own lightened up Copycat Chick-Fil-A Diet Frosted Lemonade and I packed it with protein for refreshment that sticks with you!   

With just a few simple ingredients - lemonade drink mix packet, protein powder and milk of choice, you can whip together your own frosted lemonade.  Feel free to play with the recipe as well...skip freezing the milk and use ice for a quicker refreshment.  If you have lemons on hand, zest a bit over the top and you'll feel like you're at a fancy restaurant.  My favorite protein powder to use is Devotion Nutrition's Angel Food Cake protein powder.  It's only 100 calories for a scoop and has 20g protein - plus it whips up nice and thick.

 1 cup unsweetened almond milk (or milk of choice)
 3.80 g Sugar Free single serve lemonade drink mix (1 packet mix like the kind from Wyler's or Crystal Light)
 28 g 100 calorie vanilla protein mix (I use one scoop of Designer Whey or Devotion Nutrition Angel Food Cake flavor)

Pour ½ cup of milk into an ice tray and freeze.

Once frozen, pop out cubes and toss in a blender.

Add the remaining ½ cup of milk, the lemonade drink packet, and 1 scoop of protein powder. Blend until smooth & enjoy!
